Of Tbird ownership. 180000kms, not trouble free but still a great ride. Swapped out the drive belt (original) last week mainly for peace of mind on long rides, fitted a new Metzeler Cruisetec to the front as well and will be doing the rear early next year with the same. Have them on my other bike and have been happy with them.

Also got some now extinct Foran Razorback mufflers for the old girl and today on the highway she was running smoother than ever .

14 years here, tho have less miles, 90,000. 180,000km is around 111,000 miles. Never really had a single issue that i can recall. Well, had to repair the the rear license plate light socket at one point but thats about it far as i can recall. Replaced my belt about a couple thousand miles ago, same reason...peace of mind. Best bike i ever had. Probably die with it, hopefully not ON it tho. I wish i could have recorded the conversation i had with my neighbor a few days ago. The guy is so in love with my bike that every time i see him i know i'm stuck listening to how beautiful my bike is and to never sell it. "The most beautiful bike i have ever seen". Thanks, i agree. Literally the same conversation every time i see him. I'm scared one day i'm gonna find him in my garage copulating with the tailpipe

You guys have confirmed what I thought..........I'm a complete noob, had mine about 6 weeks, but I instantly fell in love.

I must have had 20+ bikes over the years, Fireblades, Ducatis, R1's etc........but this one is just something special, I don't think I'm ever going to part with it, unless a really low mileage NightStorm comes up at the right price and even then I might just keep them both.

There's still a couple of crotch rockets in the garage, but they haven't been out much lately.

Yes, had mine since March 8th 2011, now about 68,000 km. Certainly my best touring bike, and my wife's favourite pillion bike. After the few initial teething troubles (coolant leak etc) back in 2011, she has been rock solid. And despite running through all weathers including snow and cyclones (NZ has an extremely changeable and unpredictable climate), the quality of the chrome and general finish and build is still excellent!

2 batteries, 8 rear tyres, 5 fronts. Oh, and one new wiring loom when my rectifier down by the back wheel malfunctioned, courtesy of Triumph, even though the bike was out of warranty by then.

After 52 years riding I've got a few bikes in the shed now (mostly Triumphs), but 'The Bird' is still my troublefree go-to for any big run!

cheers from NZ - Pat
